This comprehensive accreditation course is a combination of Level 1 Youth Coach & Level 2 Development Coach. It is designed for coaches working with athletes from grassroots to early competitive levels, typically ranging from primary age through to 12+ years. The primary objective is to equip coaches with the knowledge and skills to develop fundamental movement patterns (run, jump, throw), introduce the technical models of track and field events, and foster physical literacy in an encouraging, athlete-centred environment.
Participants will learn to apply a game-based approach to coaching younger athletes, while also gaining the tools to deliver structured, coach-led sessions for more advanced age groups. The course includes strategies to develop key biomotor abilities and improve athletic performance, preparing athletes for school, club, regional, and state-level competitions.
This accreditation is ideal for:
·Athletes transitioning to coaching
·Assistant coaches
·Little Athletics and club coaches
·Primary and secondary school teachers
·Private squad coaches and senior athletes
Whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your coaching skillset across age groups, this course provides a solid foundation in athlete development from early participation to competitive preparation.
