Coaches are often seen as leaders in their sport and they take on leadership roles that are challenging and beyond their expertise.  This workshop focuses on identifying your readiness to become a leader and developing strategies to improve your effectiveness as a coach and leader.

Workshop Leader: Dr. Andrew Dawson is an award-winning coach development expert with more than 30 years' experience helping professionals achieve their career goals.  Andrew teaches and researches coach development at Victoria University with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and more than 30 international coach development conference and key-note presentations.

Andrew has also recently won two national wards for coach education and development for his leadership of the development of the Swimming Australia coach e-Learning programs.  Aside from teaching and research, Andrew also consults with State, National and International organisations on coach development and leadership.  Andrew is the coaching co-ordinator at Collingwood Athletics Club where he coaches a squad of athletes who compete in local, State, National and International competitions.
