Junior Performance Coaching Course Day 2 - All coaches to attend
Gym-based Strength and Conditioning, Reactive Strength, Pool-Based Strength and Conditioning, Recovery, Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation
Level 3 Performance Development Coach is for those coaches who are ready to start specialising in their chosen event groups. It is for coaches working with athletes between 16 and 19 years of age (Training II Stage of FIT Development) who are competing at Regional, State or National level competitions.
The course aims to empower coaches to design and lead effective training programs based on peer reviewed evidence and the knowledge and experience from leading Australian Coaches. The focus of the course will be on planning and achieving long-term development of athlete performance, with an eye for establishing positive training habits that will prepare athletes for the elite pathway.
Day 2: Gym-Based Strength & Conditioning, Reactive Strength, Pool-Based Strength & Conditioning, Recovery, Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation
Pre-Requisites: Level 2 Club Coach or higher and a minimum of 12 months coaching experience
Pre- Course Work: Online Modules 3 Hours. All participants are required to complete the following modules prior to attending the Level 3 Performance Development Coach course: Level 1 and 2 Review Exam & Level 1 ASADA Education Course
Post Course Work: All Participants are required to complete the following requirements to gain and maintain their coaching accreditation: Online Modules (Anatomy & Biomechanics, Coaching Process, Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Sports Safety, Planning & Physiology), Coaching Self-Reflection, Post-Course Assessment Task (Part A: Short Answer, Part B: Scenario Response, Part C: Programming)

Note: To be eligible for days 3 and 4, coaches must have attended and successfully completed Level 3 Performance Development Coach days 1 and 2 or attended day 1 & received RPL for Day 2
To successfully complete Level 3 Performance Development Coach Course level of accreditation, coaches are required to complete a four-day course in addition to pre and post course work that must be completed and submitted online.
